How to Draw a Dollar Sign
Draw a dollar sign in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big s.
Step 1: The big S
In the middle of your paper draw a fat bubble S with rounded ends.
Tip A dollar sign is a fat S with a bar top and bottom.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the S draw 2 big round eyes close together. Add a black dot with a shine.
Step 3: A smile
Start under the left eye and draw a U smile, stopping under the right eye.
Step 4: The top bar
At the top of the S draw a short fat bar poking straight up out of the curl.
Step 5: The bottom bar
At the bottom of the S draw another short fat bar poking straight down, right under the top one.
Step 6: Sparkles on the left
On the left of the dollar sign draw 2 sparkle stars, one higher and one lower.
Step 7: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.
Step 8: Floor and shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow round the foot of the bottom bar. Add a floor line out from each side.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles, grey shadow
Colour the 4 sparkle stars yellow and the shadow grey.
Step 10: Green dollar sign
Colour the whole dollar sign green, leaving the eyes white. Your bubble dollar sign is done!
