How to Draw a Dog Groomer

Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper, left of the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip The grooming table goes on the right.

Step 2: The face

Below the middle of the head draw 2 round eyes with a shine. Add a tiny nose, smile and eyebrows.

Step 3: Bob hair

Draw hair over the head with a curved fringe. Hang straight sides down to the jaw, flat at the bottom.

Step 4: Neck and T-shirt

Start under the chin with 2 short neck lines. Draw a T-shirt with short sleeves down to the hips.

Step 5: Apron

Over the T-shirt draw an apron, wider at the bottom. Add 2 neck straps and a pocket.

Step 6: Arms

From the left sleeve draw an arm down to the wrist. Bend the right arm out to the right.

Tip The right fist will hold the brush.

Step 7: Hands

On the left wrist draw a round hanging hand. On the right draw a fist with a thumb on top.

Step 8: Brush

Start behind the right fist. Draw a short handle out right, ending at a rounded brush head. Add 4 bristles.

Step 9: The table

On the right draw a flat table top. From each end draw a leg down to a long ground line.

Step 10: Dog's head

Above the table's left end draw a dog head with a round snout. Hang a floppy ear at the back.

Step 11: Dog's body

From the head draw a sloping back to a round rump. Add 2 front legs, a back leg and paws.

Step 12: Dog's face and tail

Give the dog a big eye, a black nose on the snout tip and a smile. Add a curly tail.

Step 13: Trousers and shoes

Start at the left end of the shirt hem. Draw 2 trouser legs, ending at the right end. Add shoes.

Step 14: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour pink cheeks. Colour the face, neck, arms and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.

Step 15: Pink T-shirt, tan dog

Colour the T-shirt pink. Colour the dog tan, leaving its eye white.

Tip Leave the shoes white.

Step 16: Teal apron, brown hair

Colour the apron and straps teal, leaving the pocket white. Colour the hair, dog's ear, table, brush and trousers brown.
