How to Draw a Dart
Draw a dart in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the barrel.
Step 1: The barrel
In the middle, draw a thin rectangle slanting down to the right, 3 times longer than wide, for the barrel.
Step 2: The point
Start on the barrel's lower end, slope out to a sharp needle point, and come back to the end.
Step 3: The shaft
On the barrel's top end draw a thinner rectangle going the same way, half as long, for the shaft.
Step 4: The flights
On each side, start at the shaft's top end, slope out to 2 corners, and come back in halfway along.
Step 5: Grip rings
Across the lower barrel draw 3 short curved lines from edge to edge, and 1 more near the top.
Step 6: Zoom lines
Behind the flights draw 2 short straight zoom lines, slanting the same way as the dart.
Step 7: Sparkles
Draw 1 sparkle star at the top right and 1 at the bottom left, like plus signs with curvy arms.
Step 8: Yellow flights
Colour the two flights yellow.
Step 9: Stone barrel, red shaft
Colour the barrel and the point stone grey, and the shaft red.
Step 10: Yellow stars
Colour the 2 sparkle stars yellow. Go over your lines and your dart is done!
