How to Draw a Greek Goddess

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a Greek goddess in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of the paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the long dress.

  2. Step 2: The face

Draw 2 round eyes halfway down the head, with a tiny lash each. Add a U nose and a smile.

  3. Step 3: Hair and fringe

Start on the head's left side. Draw hair over the top to the right, then curve back for the fringe.

  4. Step 4: Long hair

From the head's left sweep long hair down to the shoulder, under the chin, and up to the right.

  5. Step 5: Leaf crown

Draw a thin band across the forehead, side to side. Add 2 oval leaves on each side, leaning out.

  6. Step 6: Neck and draped dress

From the chin, draw 2 neck lines down to a one-shoulder dress with a wavy hem and a wide belt.

Tip Add a wavy band just above the hem.

  7. Step 7: Arms

From the left sleeve, bend an arm in to the tummy. From the neck, draw the right shoulder and arm.

  8. Step 8: Fist and hand

Draw a round fist on the left wrist. From the right wrist, draw a mitten back to the wrist.

Tip Give the fist and the mitten a little thumb bump.

  9. Step 9: Little owl

Sit an owl on the left fist: a round body, 2 ear tufts, big eyes with small dots, a beak.

Tip Keep the dots small, so each eye stays white all round them.

  10. Step 10: Sandals and ground

Under the hem draw 2 sandals peeking out, toes pointing out. Draw a long ground line under them.

  11. Step 11: White dress, golden belt

Leave the dress white. Colour the belt, the hem band, the sandals and the owl's beak yellow.

  12. Step 12: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour a pink cheek on each side, then the face, neck, shoulder, arms and hands peach around them.

    Tip Keep the eyes white.

  13. Step 13: Brown hair, green leaves

Colour the hair brown and the leaves green. Colour the owl brown around its white eyes and beak.
