How to Draw Cutlery
Draw cutlery in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the spoon.
Step 1: The spoon
In the middle draw a big tall oval for the spoon's bowl, with a long thin handle hanging down.
Tip Cutlery means a fork, a knife and a spoon together.
Step 2: The spoon dip
Inside the bowl draw a second, slightly smaller oval for the dip, leaving an even rim all round.
Step 3: Spoon face
In the spoon's dip draw 2 big egg eyes, a U smile, and a tiny cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The knife
Behind the spoon, leaning right, draw a knife: a long handle, then a blade rising to a pointed tip.
Tip One side of the blade is straight; the other curves up to the tip.
Step 5: The fork
Behind the spoon, leaning left, draw a fork: a long thin handle, a small curved head and 4 thin prongs.
Step 6: Fork neck, knife band
Draw a short line across the fork where handle meets head, and one across the knife where handle meets blade.
Step 7: A pot
Round the handles draw a low pot. Add a back rim curve from its left rim, stopping at its right.
Tip The pot hides the bottoms of the handles.
Step 8: Table and shadow
Draw a table line under the pot from edge to edge. Add a flat oval shadow around the pot's base.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a 4-point sparkle above the fork and another out in the air to the right of the knife.
Step 10: Yellow sparkles, sky pot
Go over your lines, then colour the 2 sparkles yellow and the pot sky blue, around the handles.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, grey metal
Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the fork, knife, shadow and dip grey, going around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Slate spoon
Colour the spoon's rim and handle slate. Your cutlery is set for dinner!
