How to Draw a Curling Iron
Draw a curling iron in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the handle.
Step 1: The handle
On the left, below the middle, draw a long box with soft corners lying on its side, for the handle.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the handle draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, with a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add a little oval cheek below each eye, outside.
Step 4: The barrel
From the right end of the handle draw a long thinner tube to the right, with a rounded end.
Step 5: The open clamp
From where the barrel meets the handle draw a thin flat strip slanting up right, like a raised lid.
Step 6: The hinge lever
Where the clamp starts draw a small round hinge, and a little thumb tab lying back on the handle.
Step 7: Cord and plug
From the handle's left end draw a cord curving down to a little plug with 2 prongs.
Step 8: Heat lines
Above the clamp draw 2 little curved heat lines going up.
Step 9: Table line
Start near the left edge. Draw a table line under the handle and plug, stopping near the right edge.
Step 10: Sparkles
Draw 3 little 4-point sparkles above the curling iron to make it shine.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 12: Purple handle
Colour the handle purple around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Slate barrel
Colour the barrel, the clamp, the hinge, the tab and the plug slate grey.
