How to Draw a Crystal Heart
Draw a crystal heart in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: heart outline.
Step 1: Heart outline
Draw a big heart with straight sides: a dip on top, 2 flat-topped bumps and a point at the bottom.
Tip Use a ruler if you like. Make the left side match the right side.
Step 2: Small heart
Inside, draw a small heart the same shape, a little above the middle. Leave a gap all the way round.
Tip Its dip sits under the big dip and its point sits over the big point.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the small heart draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Tip Keep the eyes level, one on each side of the middle.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Top cuts
Start at each top corner of the small heart. Draw a short line up and stop at the big heart.
Tip That makes 5 lines. Begin with the middle one, from dip to dip.
Step 6: Side and bottom cuts
Start at each side corner of the small heart and stop at the big heart. Then join the 2 points.
Tip Count the shapes round the edge: there are 10.
Step 7: Floor and shadow
Under the point draw a flat oval shadow, then a floor line out from each end of it.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars round the heart, 2 on each side, not touching it.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the sparkles yellow and the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 10: Sky blue middle
Colour the small heart sky blue, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Blue cuts
Colour every other shape round the edge blue. Start beside the top dip: that makes 6.
Tip The 2 beside the dip, the 2 on the shoulders and the 2 long ones at the bottom.
Step 12: Purple cuts
Colour the 4 shapes left round the edge purple.
Step 13: Grey shadow
Colour the shadow grey. Your crystal heart is sparkling!
