How to Draw a Waffle Iron
Draw a waffle iron in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the base.
Step 1: The base
Draw a wide base with slanting sides. From its top left corner draw a tray over to the right corner.
Step 2: The open lid
From the back left corner of the tray, draw a lid up, across and down to the back right corner.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the front of the base draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Draw a U smile from under the left eye to the right eye. Add a small cheek beside each eye.
Step 5: Rim and grid
Inside the lid draw a smaller box for the rim, then 3 lines across and 3 down inside it.
Step 6: Handle and hinge
On top of the lid draw a rounded handle. Where the lid meets the tray, draw a small hinge bar.
Step 7: The waffle
In the tray draw the waffle lying flat: the tray's shape, a little smaller, with soft corners.
Step 8: Waffle squares
On the waffle draw 2 lines across and 3 lines down, to make little squares.
Step 9: Feet and ground
Under the base draw 2 small feet. Draw a ground line from near the left edge to near the right.
Step 10: Sparkles
Draw a few little sparkles around the waffle iron to make it shine.
Step 11: Yellow waffle, pink cheeks
Colour the waffle yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Grey feet, yellow sparkles
Colour the feet grey and the sparkles yellow.
Step 13: Slate iron
Go over your lines. Colour the iron slate grey around the waffle and cheeks, leaving the eyes white.
