How to Draw a Cowboy Doll
Draw a cowboy doll in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 small eyes, a tiny U nose and a smile. Each C ear starts and ends on the head.
Step 3: Cowboy hat
Above the eyes, draw an oval brim. Draw a crown from the brim up, dipping across, and back to it.
Step 4: Neck and shirt
Add 2 neck lines. Start on the left one: shoulder, down, across, up, shoulder. Stop on the right one.
Step 5: Neckerchief and vest
Under the chin, draw a triangle neckerchief. From each neck line, draw a vest line down to the shirt bottom.
Step 6: Checks
On the shirt between the vest lines, draw 2 lines across and 2 lines down for the checks.
Step 7: Long sleeves
Start at each shoulder and armpit. Draw 2 lines down to the wrist, closer at the bottom. Add a cuff.
Step 8: Mitten hands
At the bottom of each arm, draw a mitten hand like the end of an egg, with a little thumb.
Step 9: Belt, buckle and jeans
Draw a belt with a big buckle. From its left end, draw the jeans down and up to its right.
Step 10: Boots and ground
Under each leg, draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out and a heel block. Add a ground line.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks. Colour the face, ears, neck and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Yellow neckerchief, blue jeans
Colour the neckerchief and the buckle yellow, and the jeans blue.
Step 13: Red shirt, brown vest
Colour the shirt and sleeves red, and the vest, hat and boots brown, around the neckerchief and buckle.
