How to Draw a Coffee Cup Dancer
Draw a coffee cup dancer in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Above the middle draw a flat oval for the mug top, and a second oval just inside for the coffee.
Tip Look down into the mug a little.
Step 2: The mug and handle
From the oval's left end draw a tall U, back up to the right end. Add a C handle.
Tip The handle is a fat C high on the right, with a smaller C inside.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the front of the mug draw 2 big oval eyes, with a black oval and white shine in each.
Step 4: Big smile
Under the eyes draw a big happy U smile, as wide as the 2 eyes.
Step 5: Steam
Above the mug draw 3 wiggly steam lines going up.
Tip Hot coffee!
Step 6: Stubby arms
Low on each side of the mug, draw a short arm going out to a round mitten with a thumb.
Tip Start the right arm just under the handle.
Step 7: Dancing legs and shoes
Under the mug draw 2 short legs ending in shoes, toes pointing out. Draw a line across each ankle.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a long straight ground line under the shoes, a hand wide each side of the cup.
Step 9: Brown coffee, pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the coffee brown and dab a pink cheek beside each eye.
Step 10: Red cup and legs
Colour the mug, handle, arms and legs red, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white and the shoes for later.
Step 11: Black shoes
Colour the two shoes black.
