How to Draw a Starfish Pal
Draw a starfish pal in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top arms: big m.
Step 1: Top arms: big M
Start low on the left. Draw a big M, 3 fat arms with round tips. Stop low on the right.
Step 2: Bottom arms: a W
Start where the M stopped. Draw a big W for 2 fat bottom arms, back to the M's start.
Step 3: Big eyes
In the middle of the star, draw 2 big oval eyes, each with a black dot and a white shine.
Step 4: Open smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a line and a U from end to end, with a tongue. Add 2 oval cheeks.
Step 5: Yellow spots
Dab 5 yellow spots, one in the middle of every arm, near its round tip.
Step 6: Sand line
Start at the left edge of the paper. Draw a sand line under the arm tips to the right edge.
Step 7: Seaweed
On the left, start on the sand. Draw 2 tall seaweed leaves, up and back down, with middle lines.
Step 8: Scallop shell
On the right, on the sand, draw a bumpy fan shell with a little base and 3 lines.
Step 9: Tan sand
Colour the sand tan, out to both edges and down to the bottom of the paper.
Step 10: Pink and green
Colour the shell, the tongue and the 2 cheeks pink. Colour the 2 seaweed leaves green.
Step 11: Red starfish
Colour the starfish red, around the yellow spots, pink cheeks and mouth. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Black mouth
Colour the mouth black, around the pink tongue.
