How to Draw a Clown Car
Draw a clown car in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: bubble car.
Step 1: Bubble car
Draw a wide dome low on the page, with small rounded corners and a flat bottom.
Tip The dome is twice as wide as it is tall.
Step 2: Two wheels
Draw 2 big round wheels over the flat bottom. Put a small round hub inside each one.
Tip Rub out the car line inside each wheel.
Step 3: Big window
Draw a window that follows the roof. Start at its top, draw a door line, stop at the car's bottom.
Tip Add a short handle line next to the door line.
Step 4: Two clown heads
In each half of the window, draw a round head hanging down over the bottom edge.
Tip Rub out the window line inside each head.
Step 5: Top clown
Above the middle of the roof, draw a bigger round head. The roof hides its chin.
Tip Start on the roof, go up and over, and stop on the roof.
Step 6: Curly hair
On both sides of every head, draw a puff of curly hair made of 4 little bumps.
Tip Each puff starts and stops on the head.
Step 7: Noses and eyes
On each face, draw a round nose in the middle and 2 dot eyes above it.
Tip Keep a gap between the eyes and the nose.
Step 8: Big smiles
Under each nose, draw a wide U smile from cheek to cheek.
Step 9: Waving arms
From the roof, draw 2 arms reaching up beside the top clown. End each with a cuff and a mitten.
Tip Each arm bends at the elbow and gets thinner towards the hand.
Step 10: Headlight and road
Draw a round headlight low on the left. Start left of the car and draw a road under the wheels.
Tip Stop the road past the car on the right.
Step 11: Peach faces
Colour the 3 faces peach. Leave the noses and the mitten hands white.
Step 12: Orange and yellow
Colour the top clown's hair orange. Colour the left clown's hair, the sleeves, hubs and headlight yellow.
Step 13: Blue and green
Colour the window sky blue around the heads. Colour the right clown's hair green.
Step 14: Red car, black tyres
Go over your lines. Colour the car and the 3 noses red, and the tyres black around the hubs.
