How to Draw a Christmas Pickle Ornament
Draw a Christmas pickle ornament in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a pine branch.
Step 1: A pine branch
Near the top, draw a long thin branch. Start fat on the left, slope down and end in a point.
Tip The Christmas pickle is a glass ornament hidden in the tree!
Step 2: A fat pickle
Under the middle of the branch, leave a gap and draw a fat bumpy pickle hanging down.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
Near the top of the pickle draw 2 round eyes close together. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Start under the left eye, stop under the right. Add tiny cheeks.
Step 5: Hook and cap
Draw a box cap on top of the pickle with a line across. Curl a hook up over the branch.
Step 6: Needles on top
Start near the fat end. Draw a row of pointy needles along the top of the branch. Skip the hook.
Step 7: Needles underneath
Draw another row of pointy needles along the bottom of the branch, leaving a gap round the hook.
Step 8: Warty bumps
On the lower half of the pickle draw 5 small bump curves, zigzagging left and right.
Step 9: A shine
Just inside the left edge of the pickle, under the cheek, draw a thin moon shape for a shine.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, grey cap
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the cap grey.
Step 11: Brown branch, green pickle
Colour the branch brown. Colour the pickle and needles green around the cheeks, leaving the eyes and shine white.
