How to Draw a Claw
Draw a claw in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the paw.
Step 1: The paw
In the middle of your paper, draw a big round paw like a fat egg, narrow end at the bottom.
Step 2: Four toes
On top of the paw, draw 4 toe bumps, 2 tall in the middle and 1 each side leaning out.
Step 3: Claws out
From each toe tip, draw a short hook claw curving outward, fat at the toe, pointy at the tip.
Tip The claws curve away from the middle, like little hooks.
Step 4: The leg
From each side of the paw, draw a line down to near the bottom. Join the ends with fur bumps.
Step 5: The big pad
Low inside the paw, draw a big rounded heart for the pad, with a soft point at the bottom.
Step 6: Two middle beans
Inside the 2 tall middle toes, draw a small egg toe bean in each, not touching the toe line.
Step 7: Two side beans
Inside each side toe, draw a smaller bean, leaning out like the toe.
Step 8: Cream claws
Go over your lines, then colour the 4 claws cream.
Step 9: Pink pads
Colour the big heart pad and the 4 toe beans pink.
Step 10: Grey fur
Colour the paw, toes and leg grey, going around the pink pad and beans.
