How to Draw a Christmas Scene
Draw a Christmas scene in 15 steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the snowman's head.
Step 1: The snowman's head
On the left of your paper, a little above the middle, draw a round circle for the snowman's head.
Tip Leave the right side of the page for a big Christmas tree.
Step 2: Snowman face
On the head, draw 2 round eyes with black dots, a pointy carrot nose sticking out right, and a smile.
Step 3: Top hat
On top of the head, draw a long flat brim, then a tall box on it for a top hat.
Step 4: Snowman body
Under the head, draw a much bigger circle for the snowman's body.
Step 5: Scarf
Round the neck, draw a wavy scarf band. Hang its tail down the front of the body.
Step 6: Buttons and arms
Draw 3 buttons down the middle of the body. Add a stick arm with a twig out each side.
Step 7: The tree top
On the right, draw the top of the tree: a pointy triangle with a 5-point star on the point.
Step 8: Two more tiers
Under the first triangle, draw a wider one behind it, then a wider one still, each with a flat bottom.
Step 9: Trunk and ground
Under the bottom tier, draw a short box trunk. Then draw a ground line across the bottom of the page.
Step 10: Baubles
Draw six round baubles scattered over the tree, none touching the edges.
Step 11: Presents
Under the tree, draw a present box each side of the trunk. Add a ribbon of 2 lines across each.
Step 12: Snowflakes
In the sky, draw 3 small snowflakes, each made of 3 short lines crossing in the middle.
Step 13: Yellow star, orange carrot
Colour the star yellow and the carrot nose orange. Leave the snowman and his eyes white.
Step 14: Red scarf and presents
Colour the scarf, the baubles and the presents red, leaving the ribbons white.
Step 15: Green tree, black hat
Colour the tree leaf green around the baubles, the trunk brown, and the hat and buttons black.
