How to Draw a Christmas Ornament
Draw a Christmas ornament in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bauble.
Step 1: The bauble
In the middle of your paper, a little low, draw one big round circle about as wide as your hand.
Step 2: The cap
On top of the circle draw a small box with 2 lines down it. Add a little ring on top.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the ball draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a big black dot with a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The hook
Start on the little ring and draw a line up. Curve it over like a candy cane and stop.
Step 6: A band
Below the smile draw a curve from the left edge of the ball to the right. Add another just below.
Step 7: Zigzag
Start on the left edge between the curves. Zig up and down across and stop on the right edge.
Step 8: Shine
Just inside the top left edge of the ball, draw a short curve that follows the edge for a shine.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars floating round the bauble, 2 on each side.
Step 10: Yellow cap and band
Colour the cap, the ring and the whole zigzag band yellow.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, blue sparkles
Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles sky blue.
Step 12: Red bauble
Colour the ball red around the yellow band and pink cheeks, leaving the eyes white. Your ornament is ready!
