How to Draw a Christmas Cat

Draw a Christmas cat in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.

Step 1: Big round head
Draw a big egg on its side in the middle of your paper. Give each cheek 2 little fur points.
Tip Leave lots of room above the head for the hat.
Step 2: Pointy ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a tall ear leaning out. Add a small triangle inside each.
Tip Keep a wide gap between the ears: the hat sits there.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes, one eye apart. Add black dots and white shines.
Step 4: Nose and W smile
Under the eyes, draw a small upside-down triangle nose and colour it pink. Hang a W smile from its point.
Tip Both smile curves start at the very same spot on the nose.
Step 5: Fur band
Across the head top, draw a long fat sausage in front of the ears. Rub out the lines inside it.
Tip This is the fluffy white edge of a Santa hat.
Step 6: Floppy hat
Start at the band's right end. Draw a tall hill flopping over to the left, then back to the band.
Tip The tip droops down, clear of the ear.
Step 7: Pom-pom
On the droopy tip of the hat, draw a round pom-pom. Rub out the point inside it.
Step 8: Plump body
Start under each cheek. Draw a big C down and round to meet in the middle at the bottom.
Tip The body is never wider than the head.
Step 9: Front legs
Start under the chin and draw a U leg down to a fat mitten paw. Add 2 toe lines.
Tip Wide at the top, thin at the ankle. Draw both legs.
Step 10: Back paws
Under each side, draw a small bun paw tucked behind the front paw. Add 2 toe lines.
Step 11: Curly tail
Start on the right of the body. Draw a thick tail along the ground, curling up to a round tip.
Tip Thick at the body, thin at the tip.
Step 12: Whiskers and ground
Draw 2 whiskers out from each cheek. Start left of the back paw and draw the ground past the tail.
Step 13: Pink ears, red hat
Colour the ear triangles pink. Colour the floppy hat red. Leave the fur band and pom-pom white.
Step 14: Ginger fur
Colour the head, ears, body, legs and tail ginger, around the pink. Leave the eyes white.
