How to Draw a Cat and Fishbowl

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a cat and fishbowl in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Big round head

On the left draw the cat's big head: a wide egg, flatter on top, with round cheeks.

Tip Keep the right half of the page empty for the bowl.

  2. Step 2: Pointy ears

Draw a pointy ear on each top corner of the head. Add a small triangle inside each one.

  3. Step 3: Watching eyes

Draw 2 big oval eyes. Put the black dots on the right side, so the cat looks right.

Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each black dot.

  4. Step 4: Nose and smile

Under the eyes draw a small upside-down triangle nose. From its point, draw a W smile.

  5. Step 5: Plump body

Start under each cheek. Draw a big C down and round to meet in the middle at the bottom.

Tip The body is a little narrower than the head.

  6. Step 6: Front legs

From under the chin draw 2 legs down to wide paws, thinner at the ankle. Add 2 toes each.

Tip Rub out the body line inside the legs.

  7. Step 7: Back paws

Beside each front paw draw a small bun paw poking out from under the body. Add a toe line.

Tip Rub out the body line inside each back paw.

  8. Step 8: Tail and whiskers

On the left draw a thick tail curling up to a round tip. Add 2 whiskers on each cheek.

  9. Step 9: Round bowl

On the right draw a flat oval. From its left end draw a big circle round to its right end.

Tip Flatten the bottom of the circle, level with the paws.

  10. Step 10: Water and ground

Draw a wavy water line across the bowl, near the top. Draw the ground under the cat and bowl.

  11. Step 11: Goldfish

In the water draw a fat egg for the fish, pointing at the cat. Add a fan tail.

  12. Step 12: Fish eye

Give the fish a big round eye near its nose, with a black dot looking at the cat.

  13. Step 13: Fish and water

Colour the fish orange. Colour the water light blue, around the fish.

  14. Step 14: Pink and grey

Colour the nose and ear middles pink. Colour the cat grey, around the white chest, paws and eyes.
