How to Draw a Carrot Bunch
Draw a carrot bunch in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the middle carrot.
Step 1: The middle carrot
In the middle, draw a tall upside-down teardrop standing on its point, like a long ice-cream cone.
Tip Fat at the top, narrowing all the way down to the point.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Below the top of the carrot, draw 2 big egg eyes one eye apart. Add a black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Its leaves
From the top, draw 3 bumpy leaves on thin stems: a tall one up and a shorter one each side.
Tip Each leaf is a thin stem first, then a bumpy almond.
Step 5: A carrot on the left
Draw a second carrot on the left, leaning out and tucked behind the first, its point on the ground.
Step 6: A carrot on the right
Do the same on the right: a carrot leaning out a little, tucked behind the middle one.
Step 7: More leaves
Give each side carrot its own 3 bumpy leaves on thin stems, tucked behind the middle leaves.
Step 8: Leaf veins
Draw one line up the middle of every leaf, from the stem to just before the tip.
Step 9: The string
Draw a thin curved string edge to edge under the leaves. In the middle, add a bow with 2 tails.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a flat ground line touching all 3 carrot points, starting past the left carrot and stopping past the right.
Step 11: Tan string, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink, and the string and bow tan.
Step 12: Orange carrots
Colour all 3 carrots orange, around the pink cheeks and the tan string. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Green leaves
Colour all the leaves green. Your bunch of carrots is done!
