How to Draw Butter
Draw butter in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the stick.
Step 1: The stick
Across the middle, draw a long low box as wide as your hand: the front of the butter.
Step 2: A happy face
On the left half, draw 2 round eyes with a dot in each, a smile and cheeks.
Step 3: Top and side
Slant a short line up right from each top corner and join them. Slant a line up the right end.
Step 4: Cut marks
Draw 2 lines down the right end of the front, a thumb apart, where pats have been cut.
Step 5: The dish
Round the butter, draw a big oval dish, wider than the stick. Add a second oval inside for the rim.
Tip The stick sits inside the rim, never on the rim line.
Step 6: A pat
In front of the stick, on the dish, draw a little square with a thin top and side.
Step 7: The table
Draw a long line under the dish, just touching its bottom.
Step 8: Cream and pink
Go over your lines, then colour the tops and sides cream and the cheeks pink.
Step 9: Yellow butter
Colour the fronts of the stick and pat yellow, around the cheeks and cream parts. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Sky blue dish
Colour the dish sky blue around the butter, and your butter is done!
