How to Draw a Cargo Plane
Draw a cargo plane in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: banana body.
Step 1: Banana body
Start on the nose. Draw a flat top back to a round tail, then a fat belly to the nose.
Step 2: Big eyes and smile
Near the nose, draw 2 big round eyes with dots and shines. Add a wide smile under them.
Step 3: Big wing
Under the back eye, draw a wing sweeping back to a round tip. Rub out the tummy line inside.
Tip Wide where it joins the body, narrow at the tip.
Step 4: Engine on the wing
Halfway along the wing, draw a pill engine over its bottom edge. Add a hub and 2 blades in front.
Step 5: Nose cone and propeller
On the nose tip, draw a half-dome from the top to the bottom. Add a hub and 2 paddle blades.
Step 6: Cockpit window
Behind the back eye, draw a half-dome window sitting on the top line like a hat. Add a shine curve.
Step 7: Fin and tail wing
Start on top near the tail. Draw a tall fin up and down to the tail. Add a tail wing.
Step 8: Stripe and cargo door
Start at the tail. Draw a long stripe under the smile, stopping at the nose. Add a cargo door.
Tip Make the door big: that is where the boxes go in.
Step 9: Fat wheels
Under the belly behind the nose, draw 2 fat round tyres side by side. Add a small hub in each.
Tip Cargo planes have fat tyres for bumpy runways.
Step 10: Cream tummy, sky window
Colour the tummy under the stripe cream and the cockpit window sky blue.
Step 11: Grey and tan parts
Colour the engine, propellers, nose cone and tyres grey, and the cargo door tan.
Step 12: Green plane
Colour the top, wing and fins green, around the door, window and engine. Leave the eyes white. All done!
