Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and ears.

Print

  1. Step 1: Head and ears

Draw an egg head near the top. Start on each side, draw a C ear, stop on the head.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.

  2. Step 2: The face

Just below the middle of the head, draw 2 eyes with a shine. Add a U nose and a smile.

  3. Step 3: Woolly hat

Draw a hat over the top of the head, curved across the forehead. Put a fluffy pompom on top.

  4. Step 4: Neck and T-shirt

Draw 2 neck lines. Start at the left one, draw a T-shirt and stop at the right one.

  5. Step 5: Backpack

Draw a backpack peeking out above both shoulders. Add 2 straps down the front, curving out to the sides.

  6. Step 6: Arms

Start at each sleeve. Draw the left arm hanging down, the right arm bending out. Stop at the wrists.

  7. Step 7: Hands

Start on each wrist. Draw a round hand on the left, a fist on the right. Stop on the wrist.

  8. Step 8: Hiking pole

Start near the bottom of your paper. Draw 2 close lines up behind the right fist, stop at chest height.

  9. Step 9: Shorts

Start at the bottom left of the shirt. Draw shorts with a dip between the legs. Stop bottom right.

  10. Step 10: Legs

Start under each short leg. Draw 2 lines down and stop where the boots will go.

  11. Step 11: Boots and ground

Under each leg draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the boots.

  12. Step 12: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Go over your lines. Colour the skin peach and the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.

  13. Step 13: Tan shorts, green shirt

Colour the shorts tan and the T-shirt green, around the straps.

  14. Step 14: Red hat, brown backpack

Colour the hat red, leaving the pompom white. Colour the backpack, straps, boots and pole brown.
