How to Draw a Camel
Draw a camel in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top left, draw a big egg head that is narrower at the chin. Leave room on the right.
Tip A big head makes it cute: about as big as the body is deep.
Step 2: Eyes and snout
Draw 2 big eyes with dots and lashes. Under them, draw a wide snout, 2 nostrils and a w smile.
Tip The wide snout hangs well below the chin. A short line joins the smile to the middle of the nose.
Step 3: Small round ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a small round ear poking out, with an oval inside.
Step 4: The neck
From behind the head, slope the neck's back down. From under the snout, curve its front down to the chest.
Tip The neck grows out from behind the head and gets wider toward the body.
Step 5: The body
From the neck draw a bean body: over a tall hump, round the bottom, along the tummy, up the chest.
Step 6: Two legs
Draw a low ground line. Add a knobbly-kneed front leg under the chest and a back leg under the bottom.
Tip Each leg gets thinner down to a soft round foot, flat on the ground.
Step 7: The far legs
Add a far leg peeking out behind the front leg, and one in front of the back leg, with feet.
Tip Only draw the parts you can see: 4 feet on the ground.
Step 8: The tail
From the top of the bottom, draw a thin tail curving out and down to a leaf-shaped tuft.
Tip Leave a little gap between the tail and the bottom.
Step 9: Snout and ears
Go over your lines. Colour the snout sand and the ear insides peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Colour it tan
Colour the camel tan around the snout and ear insides. Colour the feet and tail tuft brown.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a camel, drawn by you.
