How to Draw a Bus Stop
Draw a bus stop in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the roof.
Step 1: The roof
A little above the middle, draw a long flat roof with rounded ends, a hand and a half wide.
Tip A bus shelter is a roof on 2 posts with a bench under it.
Step 2: Ground and kerb
Draw a long ground line from edge to edge, and a second line a little below it for the kerb.
Step 3: Two posts
From under each end of the roof, draw a post of 2 lines straight down to the ground.
Step 4: The back glass
Between the posts, draw a big glass box that stops halfway to the ground. Add 2 lines down it.
Step 5: The bench
Draw a thin bench plank a little below the glass. From each end, draw a leg down to the ground.
Step 6: The timetable
On the right pane, draw a small box with 3 short lines across it.
Step 7: The sign
Start on the ground near the right edge. Draw a pole up to a round sign with a tiny bus.
Step 8: A bin
On the left, draw a bin from the ground up, across, down to it. Add a lid and 2 lines.
Tip Make the bin a little wider at the top, and give the lid a small handle.
Step 9: A cloud
Above the roof, draw a puffy cloud: 4 bumps up and over, then 2 shallow bumps underneath.
Step 10: Yellow sign, white cloud
Colour the round sign yellow and the cloud white.
Step 11: Sky glass, wooden bench
Colour the glass back sky blue and the bench wood brown.
Step 12: Slate roof and posts
Colour the roof, posts and bin slate grey. Go over your lines and your bus stop is done!
