How to Draw Binoculars
Draw binoculars in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the left barrel.
Step 1: The left barrel
Left of the middle of your paper draw a tall box with soft round corners, taller than wide.
Step 2: The right barrel
Draw the same tall box a finger to the right of the first. Leave a gap between them.
Step 3: Bridge and wheel
Draw a small box joining the barrels. Start on its top; draw a ridged wheel up, across, down to it.
Step 4: The left lens
Over the bottom of the left barrel draw a big circle, a little wider than the barrel.
Step 5: The right lens
Do the same on the right barrel: a big round circle over its bottom.
Step 6: The glass
Inside each lens draw a smaller circle, leaving a thick ring all round.
Step 7: Lens shines
In the top-left of each glass draw 2 short slanted slashes side by side.
Step 8: The strap
Start on the left barrel top. Draw a big rainbow over to the right barrel top. Add a second inside.
Step 9: Sky glass, brown strap
Colour the glass sky blue, leaving the shines white, and the strap brown. Go over your lines!
Step 10: Slate rings and wheel
Colour the focus wheel and the thick rings around the glass slate grey.
Step 11: Navy barrels
Colour both barrels and the bridge navy blue, around the lenses and the wheel.
