How to Draw a Broken Heart
Draw a broken heart in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big heart.
Step 1: The big heart
Start at a dip at the top. Draw 2 fat humps with a soft point below, back to the dip.
Tip Big and chunky: 2 fat humps on top and a soft point.
Step 2: The crack
Start at the dip on top. Draw a zigzag crack down the middle, stopping at the bottom point.
Step 3: Two big eyes
High on each side of the crack draw a big egg eye. Add a big dot and a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, just right of the crack, draw a small U smile. Add a cheek beside each eye.
Step 5: A bandage
Under the smile, across the crack, draw a long rounded bandage. Rub out the crack inside it.
Tip Keep the bandage inside the heart, above the point.
Step 6: Pad and dots
In the middle of the bandage draw a square pad. Add 2 dots on each end.
Step 7: Little hearts
Draw 2 tiny hearts floating near the big one, one up left and one low right.
Step 8: Peach bandage
Colour the bandage and its pad peach.
Step 9: Pink cheeks and hearts
Colour the cheeks and the 2 little hearts pink.
Step 10: Red heart
Colour the heart red around the eyes, cheeks and bandage. Leave the eyes white. Your heart is all patched up!
