How to Draw a Jackhammer
Draw a jackhammer in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.
Step 1: Egg head
Near the top draw an egg head, a little taller than wide.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and the jackhammer.
Step 2: The face
In the middle of the head draw 2 eyes with black dots and shines. Add a smile under them.
Step 3: Hard hat
Draw a dome over the head and a flat brim under it. Add a line up the middle.
Step 4: Ear defenders
Under each end of the brim draw a tall rounded cup covering the ear.
Tip Ear defenders keep the loud noise out.
Step 5: Bright vest
Start under the chin with 2 neck lines. Draw a round-shouldered vest, back to the neck. Add a stripe.
Step 6: Legs apart
Under the vest draw 2 trouser legs standing wide apart. Add a boot under each, toes pointing out.
Step 7: Handle and body
Across the tummy draw a flat handle bar. Under its middle draw a rounded box with a band.
Step 8: Pointed bit
Under the box draw a small collar, then a long thin bit with a point. Draw the ground line.
Step 9: Arms and fists
Draw a round fist on each end of the bar. Draw an arm from each shoulder, elbow out, to it.
Step 10: Chunks and dust
Beside the bit draw a chunk of road on each side. Above each one draw a little dust cloud.
Step 11: Peach and yellow
Colour the face, neck and fists peach. Colour the hard hat yellow. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Orange and red
Colour the vest orange, leaving the stripe white. Colour the ear cups, handle bar and box red.
Step 13: Blue and grey
Colour the sleeves and trousers blue. Colour the boots, bit and chunks grey. Leave the dust clouds white.
