How to Draw a Bride and Groom

19 steps · Tricky · about 14 min

Draw a bride and groom in 19 steps, about 14 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two heads.

Print

  1. Step 1: Two heads

Near the top, draw 2 eggs side by side with a gap between. Make each narrower at the chin.

Tip Keep the gap: they hold hands there.

  2. Step 2: The groom's face

On the left head, draw 2 big round eyes with black dots, a U nose and a smile. Add eyebrows.

  3. Step 3: The bride's face

Give the right head the same big round eyes with dots, a U nose, a smile and eyebrows.

  4. Step 4: The hair

Start at the groom's left temple, draw bumpy hair and stop at the right. Give the bride smooth, round hair.

  5. Step 5: A tiara

On the bride's hair, draw a thin curved tiara band with 3 points on top.

  6. Step 6: The veil

Start on the bride's hair. Draw the veil down behind her, a wavy hem, and back up to the hair.

Tip The veil is one big soft shape behind everything.

  7. Step 7: Two necks

Under each chin, draw 2 short neck lines, starting on the chin and stopping a little lower.

  8. Step 8: The jacket

From the groom's neck, draw his jacket with round shoulders, 2 long bent sleeves and a flat bottom.

  9. Step 9: Shirt and bow tie

Inside the collar, draw 2 lines down to a point. Add a bow tie with a knot under the neck.

  10. Step 10: The dress

From her neck, draw the bride's long dress with puffy sleeves. Add 2 lines across the waist for a sash.

  11. Step 11: The bride's arms

Start at each puffy sleeve, draw a bent arm and stop at the wrist. Reach the left one inwards.

  12. Step 12: Holding hands

Start on each wrist and draw a mitten, stopping on the wrist. In the middle, the groom's goes in front.

  13. Step 13: Trousers

Start at the bottom left corner of the jacket. Draw 2 long trouser legs and stop at the right corner.

  14. Step 14: Shoes and ground

Under each trouser leg, draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under everything.

  15. Step 15: The groom's skin

Colour the groom's face, neck and hands peach, around the cheeks. Colour the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.

  16. Step 16: The bride's skin

Colour the bride's face, neck, arms and hands peach, around the cheeks. Colour the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.

  17. Step 17: Yellow tiara, pink sash

Colour the tiara yellow and the sash pink. Leave the dress, the veil and the shirt white.

  18. Step 18: Grey trousers, red tie

Colour the trousers grey and the bow tie red.

  19. Step 19: Brown hair, black suit

Colour the bride's hair brown, around the tiara. Colour the groom's hair, jacket and shoes black, around the tie.
