How to Draw a Bobcat
Draw a bobcat in 13 steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, draw a big egg on its side with chubby cheeks. Give each cheek 2 little fur points.
Tip The head is more than half of the whole cat.
Step 2: Tufted ears
On each side of the head, draw a tall pointy ear, stopping back on the head. Add a black tuft.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Across the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes an eye apart, with a dot and white shine.
Step 4: Nose and W smile
Below the eyes, draw an upside-down triangle nose, coloured in. From its point, draw a wide W smile.
Step 5: Round body
From under each cheek, draw a big C out into a plump hip, stopping in the middle at the bottom.
Step 6: Front legs
Draw a chest rainbow. From each end, draw a leg down to a round paw and up to the body.
Step 7: Short bob tail
On the right hip, draw a short stubby tail like half a bun, from the hip and back to it.
Tip A bobcat has a short bob tail with a black tip.
Step 8: Back paws
Under each hip, draw a plump bun paw on the ground, poking out sideways. Add 2 short toe curves.
Step 9: Cheek ruff and whiskers
From each cheek's lower fur point, draw 3 soft bumps along the jaw, stopping at the chin. Add whiskers.
Step 10: Tail tip and ground
Draw a short curve across the tail near its end. Draw a flat ground line under the paws.
Step 11: Bobcat spots
Dot 3 black spots across the forehead, 3 scattered on each hip, and 1 on each front leg.
Step 12: Cream and peach
Colour the tummy, ruff and paws cream, and the inside of each ear peach.
Step 13: Tan fur, black tip
Colour the fur tan, around the cream parts and tail tip. Leave the eyes white. Colour the tail tip black.
