How to Draw Block Letters
Draw block letters in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big a.
Step 1: The big A
On the left draw a fat bubble A: 2 fat legs meeting in a round point, with a fat crossbar.
Tip Block letters are fat letters with a thick side, like wooden blocks.
Step 2: The A's side
Behind the A, a little up and right, draw a thin band hugging its top and right edges.
Step 3: The A's face
Under the little triangle draw 2 big round eyes with dots and shines, and a U smile under them.
Step 4: The big B
Leaving a gap after the A, draw a fat B: a stem, a bump on top, a bigger one below.
Step 5: The B's side
Behind the B, a little up and right, draw the same thin band hugging its top and right edges.
Step 6: The B's face
Between the B's 2 holes draw 2 big round eyes with dots and shines, and a U smile.
Step 7: The big C
Next to the B, leaving a little gap, draw a fat C with a thick left side.
Step 8: The C's side
Behind the C, a little up and right, draw the same thin band hugging its top and right edges.
Step 9: The C's face
On the C's thick left side draw 2 big round eyes with dots and shines, and a U smile.
Step 10: Floor and shadow
Draw a floor line under the letters and a flat oval shadow on it. Rub out the floor inside it.
Step 11: Red A, blue B
Colour the front of the A red and the front of the B blue, leaving the eyes white.
Step 12: Orange C, grey sides
Colour the C orange, then all 3 sides and the shadow grey around the letters. Your block letters are done!
