12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a blanket in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the blanket.

Print

  1. Step 1: The blanket

Draw a wide shape with a long bottom, a short top, slanted sides and the top right corner cut off.

  2. Step 2: Folded corner

From the top end of the cut draw a line down, then a line across to the bottom end.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

In the middle of the blanket draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, with a small oval cheek beside each end.

  5. Step 5: Left stripe

Near the left end draw 2 slanted lines from the top edge to the bottom edge, for a stripe.

  6. Step 6: Right stripe

Near the right end draw 2 slanted lines from the bottom edge up to the folded corner.

  7. Step 7: Left fringe

Start on the left end and draw 7 short straight lines out to the left, close together.

  8. Step 8: Right fringe

Under the folded corner draw 3 short straight lines out from the right end, close together.

  9. Step 9: Cream corner

    Colour the folded corner cream.

  10. Step 10: Pink cheeks

    Colour the cheeks pink.

  11. Step 11: Red stripes

    Colour the 2 stripes red.

  12. Step 12: Teal blanket

Colour the rest of the blanket teal, around the face, the stripes and the corner. Leave the eyes white.
