How to Draw a Letter
Draw a letter in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the paper.
Step 1: The paper
In the middle draw a tall box for the paper, with the top right corner cut off by a slant.
Tip Taller than it is wide, like a real letter.
Step 2: Folded corner
At the cut corner draw a small triangle folding down, from the top of the slant to its bottom.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Near the top of the paper draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Lines of writing
Well below the face draw a short line on the left, then 3 long lines across the paper, evenly spaced.
Step 6: Writing and name
Lower down draw 1 more long line. Under it on the left, draw a wavy squiggle for your name.
Step 7: A heart
In the bottom right corner of the paper, beside your name, draw a heart for love.
Step 8: Ground line
Start left of the paper and draw a long ground line under it, stopping on the right.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 3 sparkle stars round the letter: one high left, one on the right, one low left.
Step 10: Cream paper
Go over your lines. Colour the paper cream around the cheeks and heart. Leave the eyes and folded corner white.
Step 11: Yellow sparkles, pink cheeks
Colour the 3 sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Red heart
Colour the heart red. Your letter is written!
