How to Draw a Black Panther
Draw a black panther in 11 steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
On the left of your paper draw a big head with a flat top, wide cheeks and a round chin.
Step 2: Round ears
Start on each top corner. Draw a round ear up and over, back down to the head.
Step 3: Big eyes
On the middle of the head draw 2 big round eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Nose and whiskers
Under the eyes draw an oval, black nose and 6 whiskers. From the nose draw down to a w smile.
Step 5: The back
Start on the back of the head. Draw a long flat back, round the bottom, and stop at chin height.
Tip A panther is long and sleek. Keep the back almost flat.
Step 6: Front leg and tummy
Draw a ground line. From the chin draw a leg down to a paw, then up and along the tummy.
Step 7: Back leg
Start at the tummy end. Draw a round thigh, a leg down to a paw, then up to the bottom.
Step 8: Far legs
Start behind the front leg and draw a smaller leg down to a paw. Do another from the thigh.
Tip Only draw the parts you can see. Two paws in front, two behind.
Step 9: Long tail
Start high on the bottom. Draw a long tail curving down, flick the tip up, then back to the bottom.
Tip Thick at the root, thin at the tip. Keep it low, not curled over the back.
Step 10: Yellow eyes, grey muzzle
Colour the eyes yellow around each dot and shine. Colour the ear insides and nose oval grey, around the nose.
Step 11: Black fur
Colour the head, body, legs and tail black, around the eyes, nose oval and ear insides.
