How to Draw a Black Bear Face
Draw a black bear face in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Draw a big round head, a little wider than tall, with full round cheeks.
Tip Leave room above the head for the ears.
Step 2: Round ears
On each top corner draw a big round ear. Start on the head and end on the head.
Tip Black bears have big ears that stand up tall.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes with a wide gap between them.
Tip Keep both eyes the same size and the same height.
Step 4: Shiny black dots
Inside each eye colour a big black dot. Leave a tiny white shine in each one.
Step 5: Long snout
Under the eyes draw a big wide oval for the snout. Keep it above the chin.
Tip A black bear's snout is big and pale. It fills the bottom of the face.
Step 6: Black nose
At the top of the snout draw a wide nose with a rounded point below. Colour it black.
Step 7: Happy mouth
Start under the nose. Draw a short line down, then a smile curving up each side. Stop inside the snout.
Step 8: Inside the ears
Inside each ear draw a smaller round curve. Start on the head and end on the head.
Tip Keep an even gap between the 2 ear lines.
Step 9: Eyebrows
Above each eye draw a short curved eyebrow, like a tiny rainbow.
Step 10: Tan snout
Colour the snout tan, around the black nose. Colour the inside of each ear tan too.
Tip Colour the light parts first so the dark fur does not smudge them.
Step 11: Dark grey fur
Colour the rest of the face and ears dark grey, around the tan. Leave the eyes white.
