How to Draw a Birdhouse
Draw a birdhouse in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the roof.
Step 1: The roof
At the top of your paper draw a pointy roof with a thick brim along the bottom.
Step 2: The box
Start under the brim near the left end. Draw a box down, across, and back up to the brim.
Tip The box is about as tall as the roof.
Step 3: The round hole
In the middle of the box, a little above the middle, draw 1 big round hole.
Step 4: The perch
Under the hole draw a stick poking out past the right side of the box. Round off its end.
Step 5: The pole
From the bottom of the box draw 2 pole lines close together, stopping near the paper's bottom. Join them across.
Step 6: The ground
Draw the ground line from each side of the pole out to the edge, with a couple of grass blades.
Step 7: A little bird
On the perch draw a plump bird facing the hole: from the chest, over the head, down to a tail.
Step 8: A heart
On the roof above the hole draw a small heart.
Step 9: Yellow box, pink heart
Colour the box yellow around the hole and the perch, and the little heart on the roof pink.
Step 10: Wooden pole and perch
Colour the pole and the perch wood brown.
Step 11: Blue bird
Colour the bird blue with an orange beak. Keep the eye white.
Step 12: Red roof, grey hole
Colour the roof red around the pink heart, and the hole slate grey. Go over your lines. Done!
