How to Draw a Bell

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a bell in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bell.

Print

  1. Step 1: The bell

Start on the left. Draw up like a skirt, over a round top, and down, flaring out. Stop level.

Tip Wider at the bottom than the top, like a skirt.

  2. Step 2: The lip

Under the bell, draw a thick flat band wider than the bell, with rounded corners.

  3. Step 3: Happy face

In the middle of the bell, draw 2 big round eyes. Add a wide U smile and 2 cheeks.

  4. Step 4: The clapper

Start under the middle of the lip. Draw 2 short lines down, stopping at a round ball.

  5. Step 5: Top knob

Start on top of the bell. Draw a little rounded knob up and over, and stop back on the bell.

  6. Step 6: Big bow

On top of the knob, draw a round knot with a fat loop each side and 2 short tails.

  7. Step 7: Shine and lip line

Draw a short curved shine line high on the left of the dome. Draw a line across the lip.

  8. Step 8: Sparkles and sound

Draw 2 sparkle stars by the top of the bell and a curved sound line out from each side.

  9. Step 9: Yellow bell

Colour the cheeks peach, then the bell and knob yellow around them. Keep the eyes white.

  10. Step 10: Orange lip and clapper

Colour the lip band, the clapper and its stem, and the sparkle stars orange.

  11. Step 11: Red bow

Colour the bow, knot and tails red. Go over your lines and your bell is done!
