How to Draw a Begonia
Draw a begonia in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top petal.
Step 1: The top petal
Pick a spot above the middle of your paper. From it draw one big round petal going up.
Tip Make it wider than it is tall, like a fat balloon.
Step 2: The bottom petal
From the same spot draw a matching big round petal going down.
Step 3: Two side petals
From the spot draw a smaller petal pointing left, tucked behind the big ones. Draw the same pointing right.
Step 4: The middle
Right on the spot where the petals meet, draw a small circle for the middle.
Step 5: The stem
Start under the flower. Draw 2 gently curving lines down to near the bottom of your paper.
Step 6: The left leaf
Start on the stem. Draw a big lopsided heart leaf out to the left, ending in a point.
Tip A begonia leaf has one big round bump on top, like half a heart.
Step 7: The right leaf
A little lower, draw the same lopsided heart leaf out to the right.
Step 8: Leaf veins
In each leaf draw a line from the stem towards the tip. Add 2 short lines branching up.
Step 9: Ground and grass
Draw a ground line under the stem, stopping short of the edges. Add 2 grass blades each side.
Step 10: Yellow middle
Colour the little middle circle yellow.
Step 11: Pink petals
Colour all 4 petals pink, going around the yellow middle.
Step 12: Green leaves
Colour the stem and both leaves green. Your begonia is in bloom!
