How to Draw a Bear Sleeping
Draw a bear sleeping in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw a big head, wider than tall, with fat round cheeks.
Tip Make it almost half of the bear.
Step 2: Round ears
On each top corner, start on the head and draw a round ear back to it. Add a bean inside.
Tip Ears sit at 10 and 2 o'clock.
Step 3: Sleepy closed eyes
At the middle of the head, draw 2 short curved lines like little rainbows, an eye apart.
Step 4: Nose bump
Under the eyes draw a big wide oval poking past the chin. Add a black triangle nose inside it.
Step 5: The smile
Start at the nose. Draw a short line down, then a W smile out each side, stopping inside the oval.
Step 6: Round belly
Start under the left cheek. Draw one big pear body, widest low down, and stop under the right cheek.
Tip Its bottom sits where the ground will go.
Step 7: Tummy patch
On the tummy, draw a big egg from under the snout down to near the bottom.
Tip Leave a little gap under the snout.
Step 8: Arms and paws
Start under each cheek. Draw an arm down the side to a round paw on the tummy, then back up.
Tip The arm gets thinner at the wrist. Rub out the body line inside it.
Step 9: Haunches and feet
Start on each side of the belly. Draw a round C haunch out and down to a fat flat foot.
Step 10: Toes, Zzz and ground
Draw 3 toe lines on each foot. Draw 3 little Z's climbing up beside the head. Add a ground line.
Step 11: Tan muzzle and tummy
Colour the nose oval, the tummy egg and the bean in each ear tan.
Step 12: Brown fur
Go over your lines. Colour the whole bear brown, around the tan nose oval, tummy and ears.
