How to Draw a Baby Bobcat
Draw a baby bobcat in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wide fluffy head.
Step 1: Wide fluffy head
Near the top left draw a wide head. Give each cheek 2 pointed tufts of fur.
Tip The cheek tufts are what make it a bobcat.
Step 2: Tufted ears
On each top corner draw a tall pointed ear. Add a thin pointed tuft on each tip.
Step 3: Big eyes
In the middle of the head, a little to the left, draw 2 big oval eyes with black pupils.
Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.
Step 4: Nose and smile
Below the eyes draw a muzzle and pink nose. Start the w smile on one side, stop on the other.
Step 5: Round back
Start on the head, level with the eyes. Draw the back, curl round the rump, stop half way down.
Tip A kitten's body is short and chunky.
Step 6: Front leg
Draw a ground line. Start under the chin, draw a leg down to a big paw, stop at the tummy.
Tip Kittens have big paws.
Step 7: Tummy and back leg
Start at the front leg. Draw the tummy, then the back leg down to a paw. Stop at the rump.
Step 8: Far legs
Draw 2 more legs peeking out from behind: one stepping forward under the chin, one under the tummy.
Step 9: Bobbed tail
On the rump draw a short stubby tail that points up. Draw a line across it near the tip.
Tip A bobcat's tail is short, as if it was bobbed.
Step 10: Toes
On each big paw draw 2 short curved toe lines, up from the ground. Draw 1 on each small paw.
Step 11: Bobcat spots
Draw 5 small oval spots on the back and the side: 3 in a row on top, 2 below.
Step 12: Cream and tan
Colour the muzzle cream. Colour the rest of the head and the ears tan.
Tip Leave the eyes and the ear tufts white for now.
Step 13: Tan body
Colour the body, the legs and the tail tan, around the spots. Leave the tip of the tail white.
Step 14: Black spots, tips
Colour the spots, the 2 ear tufts and the tip of the tail black.
