How to Draw a Baseball Diamond
Draw a baseball diamond in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the field.
Step 1: The field
Start at the bottom middle. Draw 2 lines up and out like a V. Join the tops with a rainbow.
Tip A baseball field is a big slice of pie.
Step 2: The diamond
Inside the field draw a big diamond standing on its point, a little above the bottom.
Step 3: The baseball
In the middle of the diamond draw a round ball. Add 2 big eyes with a shine.
Step 4: The smile
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Start under the left eye and stop under the right.
Step 5: The seams
Near each side of the ball draw a seam bending in a little. Start and stop on the ball's edge.
Step 6: Bases and home plate
On the left, top and right corners draw a little square on its point. Add home plate at the bottom.
Step 7: The infield grass
Inside the diamond, around the ball, draw a smaller diamond. Leave a thin band all round.
Step 8: Warning track
Just inside the big curve at the top draw a second curve that follows it.
Step 9: The flag
Start on the middle of the big curve and draw a short pole up. Stop. Add a triangle flag.
Step 10: Sand dirt, pink cheeks
Colour the dirt band inside the diamond and the band between the 2 curves sand. Add 2 pink cheeks.
Tip Leave the ball, the bases and the eyes white.
Step 11: Green field
Colour the small diamond and the big field green, going around the ball, the sand and the bases.
Step 12: Red flag
Colour the flag red. Go over your lines and play ball!
