How to Draw a Barber
Draw a barber in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: Face and moustache
Draw 2 eyes, a nose, a smile and a moustache. Add C ears from the head line, ending on it.
Step 3: Curly hair
Start on the left by the eyebrows. Draw soft round tufts up over the head, ending level on the right.
Tip Add a gentle hairline curve across the forehead.
Step 4: Neck and shirt
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left one draw a shirt with sleeves, ending at the right.
Step 5: Apron
Draw an apron, flat across the chest, sloping wider past the knees. Add 2 neck straps and a pocket.
Step 6: Long sleeves
Make each sleeve long, down to a cuff, and rub out the short sleeve ends. The left one swings out.
Step 7: Hands
On the right wrist draw a hand hanging down like an egg bottom. On the left draw a closed fist.
Step 8: Scissors
In the left fist draw scissors: 2 wide blades in a V, a dot where they cross, 2 rings below.
Step 9: Trousers, shoes and ground
From the shirt hem draw 2 trouser legs down to the ankles. Add shoes, toes out, and a ground line.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Dab 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face, ears, neck and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Sky apron, grey trousers
Colour the apron sky blue, and the trousers and scissor blades grey. Leave the shirt and pocket white.
Step 12: Black hair and shoes
Colour the hair, moustache and shoes black. Go over your lines and your barber is done!
