How to Draw a Bandicoot

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a bandicoot in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and snout.

Print

  1. Step 1: Head and snout

On the left of your paper, draw a round head that narrows to a long pointy snout.

Tip The snout is as long as the round part of the head.

  2. Step 2: Two short ears

On top of the head draw a short round ear with a leaf inside. Add one peeking behind it.

Tip Keep the ears shorter than the head.

  3. Step 3: Eye, nose and smile

Draw a big eye up high, with a dot and a shine. Add a round nose tip and a smile.

  4. Step 4: Long back foot

Leave a gap under the head. Draw a long flat foot with a round heel and 2 toe lines.

  5. Step 5: Humped back

Start behind the ears. Draw a high round hump for the back and stop at the heel.

Tip A bandicoot has a round, humped back.

  6. Step 6: Tummy

Start at the chin. Draw the chest down and the tummy along. Stop at the toes of the foot.

  7. Step 7: Big back leg

Start on the top of the back. Draw a big C down to the foot for the folded back leg.

  8. Step 8: Front leg

From the chest, draw a short front leg down to a round paw with 2 toes. Stop on the tummy.

  9. Step 9: Thin tail

From the rump, draw a thin tail pointing down and back, ending in a point.

Tip Thick at the rump, thin at the tip.

  10. Step 10: Rump stripes

Start on the rump line. Draw 3 long finger stripes across the back leg, one under another.

Tip Each stripe is fat on the rump line and has a round end.

  11. Step 11: The ground

Draw a flat ground line under the paw and the foot, from left of the nose to past the tail.

  12. Step 12: Pink and cream

Colour the inside of the front ear and the nose pink. Colour the 3 stripes cream.

  13. Step 13: Brown fur

Colour the bandicoot brown, tail too, going around the pink and the stripes. Leave the eye white.
