How to Draw a Banana with a Face

Draw a banana with a face in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the inner curve.

Step 1: The inner curve
Start near the top. Draw 1 long curve bowing left, down to the bottom right. Stop with a round end.
Tip It is a tall letter C that leans.
Step 2: The outer curve
Start a small gap left of the first top. Draw a bigger curve bowing further left, round to the end.
Tip Thin at both ends, fattest in the middle.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the middle of the banana, draw 2 round eyes a gap apart. Give each a black dot and shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 5: The stem
From one top end, draw a short stalk poking up and out with a flat end, back to the other.
Step 6: The dark tip
Near the round end at the bottom right, draw a short curve across the banana for the dark tip.
Tip Bananas have a little dark nub at the tip.
Step 7: A shine
Near the top under the stem, draw a thin pointy oval for the shine.
Step 8: Two arms out
Start on the banana below each cheek. Draw an arm out to a round mitten with a thumb, and back.
Step 9: Three freckles
Above the face, dot 3 tiny freckles of different sizes, away from the lines.
Step 10: Two feet
Under the lowest part of the banana, draw 2 bean feet side by side with a small gap between.
Tip Keep the dark tip above the feet.
Step 11: The ground
Draw a ground line from near the left edge to near the right edge, under both feet.
Step 12: Yellow banana
Colour the banana, arms and feet yellow. Leave the stem, eyes, shine, cheeks and dark tip white.
Step 13: Brown tips, pink cheeks
Colour the stem and the dark tip brown, and the cheeks pink. Your banana buddy is done!
