How to Draw a Banana Peel
Draw a banana peel in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top.
Step 1: The top
Start just left of the middle, draw an upside-down U, and stop at the same height on the right.
Step 2: The stem
Start on top of the U, draw a short, fat stem up and across, and stop back on the U.
Step 3: The front flap
Start at the U's left end, draw a flap down to a soft point, and stop at the right end.
Tip Keep every flap wide like a leaf, not thin like a leg.
Step 4: The left flap
From the U's left side, draw a wide flap out to a low point and back to the front flap.
Step 5: The right flap
Do the same on the right, a wide flap out to a low point and back to the front flap.
Step 6: The back flap
Start at the front flap, draw a pointed back flap tip peeking out, and stop at the right flap.
Step 7: The pale insides
Inside the front and side flaps, draw a smaller leaf shape, leaving a band of peel around it.
Step 8: Freckles
Dot 3 small brown freckles on the top of the peel, in a slanting row.
Step 9: The ground
Draw a straight ground line from well left to well right, touching the bottom of every flap.
Step 10: Cream insides
Colour the pale insides of the 3 big flaps cream.
Step 11: Yellow peel
Go over your lines, then colour the top and all 4 flaps yellow, around the cream insides and freckles.
Step 12: Brown stem
Colour the stem brown, and your banana peel is done!
