How to Draw a Bakery
Draw a bakery in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bakery front.
Step 1: The bakery front
Draw a wide box in the middle. Add a long flat ledge across its top, poking out each side.
Step 2: A pointy triangle
Start on the ledge near its left end, go up to a point, then down near its right end.
Step 3: The pretzel sign
In the triangle draw a fat pretzel: a ring with a dip on top, and 2 arms crossing inside.
Tip A pretzel on the front tells everyone it's a bakery.
Step 4: The awning
Under the ledge, start on the left, go up, across and down on the right. Join the ends with bumps.
Tip Little bumps along its bottom edge, and lines down it for stripes.
Step 5: The big window
Under the awning, left, draw a big square window standing on the bottom line, with 2 shelves across.
Step 6: Bread on the shelves
Top shelf: 2 oval loaves and a little iced cake. Bottom shelf: 3 buns and a big loaf.
Step 7: The door
On the right draw a tall door standing on the bottom line, with a rainbow window and a round knob.
Step 8: Ground and basket
Draw a ground line from the paper's left edge across to its right edge. Add a basket on the left.
Tip A handle over the basket, 2 loaves poking out, grass on the right.
Step 9: Cream walls, sky windows
Colour the walls and triangle cream, around the awning, door and pretzel. Colour the windows sky blue, around the bread.
Step 10: Pink awning, tan loaves
Colour the awning and the icing pink, and the loaves, buns and cake tan.
Step 11: Brown pretzel and door
Go over your lines. Colour the pretzel, ledge, basket and door wood brown, around the door's window.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a bakery, drawn by you.
