How to Draw a Baker

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a baker in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave the middle of the page for the arms and the bread tray.

  2. Step 2: The face

Draw 2 eyes, a nose and a smile. Add a C ear each side, from the head back to it.

  3. Step 3: Baker's cap

Above the eyes draw a hat band from the head's left across to its right. Add a big puffy top.

Tip The puffy top is wider than the band, like a mushroom.

  4. Step 4: Neck and T-shirt

Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a T-shirt with round short sleeves, ending at the right one.

  5. Step 5: The apron

On the shirt draw a long apron, from the chest down past the shirt to the knees, and back up.

  6. Step 6: Arms bent in front

From each sleeve draw an arm down to a soft elbow, then in to the wrist, thinner as it goes.

  7. Step 7: Fists

On each wrist draw a fist pointing in, round like a fat egg, with a thumb bump on top.

  8. Step 8: Tray and bread

Draw a flat tray tucked behind the fists. On it draw a round loaf with 3 slashes, and a roll.

  9. Step 9: Trousers

Start under the apron on the left. Draw 2 trouser legs, narrower at the ankles, back up to the apron.

  10. Step 10: Shoes and ground

Under each leg draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.

  11. Step 11: Sky shirt, tan bread

Colour the shirt sky blue, and the loaf and the roll tan. Leave the apron and cap white.

  12. Step 12: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour the face, ears, neck, arms and fists peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.

  13. Step 13: Brown trousers, black shoes

Colour the trousers and the tray brown, and the shoes black. Go over your lines. Your baker is done.
