How to Draw Bacteria
Draw bacteria in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the germ.
Step 1: The germ
In the middle of your paper draw a big fat pill shape with round ends, much wider than tall.
Tip A bit wobbly is fine: germs are squishy.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the germ draw 2 big round eyes a finger apart, with a dot and shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Start under the left eye and draw one wide U smile to the right eye. Add a cheek each side.
Step 4: Spots
Draw 3 spots of different sizes: a big one on the left end and 2 smaller ones on the right.
Step 5: Wavy hairs
All round the top and sides of the germ draw short wavy hairs, a finger apart.
Step 6: Wavy tail
Start on the right end of the germ. Draw one long wavy tail out to the right.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a ground line across the paper, just touching the bottom of the germ.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 2 sparkle stars, one up on the right and one on the left.
Step 9: Pink cheeks, yellow stars
Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkle stars yellow.
Step 10: Green germ
Colour the germ leaf green, going around the eyes, spots and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Dark green spots
Colour the 3 spots dark green. Your germ is ready to wiggle!
