How to Draw an Arizona Map
Draw an arizona map in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top edge.
Step 1: The top edge
Start near the top left. Draw a long straight line to the right. Stop near the right side.
Tip Use a ruler if you like. Leave lots of room below this line.
Step 2: The right side
From the right end, draw a straight line down. Make it a little longer than the top.
Step 3: The bottom edge
Carry on from there. Draw a straight line to the left. Stop before the middle.
Step 4: The long slant
Carry on from there. Draw a long straight line slanting up to the left. Stop left of your top line.
Tip This slant ends further left than the top corner.
Step 5: The river side
From the corner, go up a little, then wiggle a line up. End with a bend to the right.
Tip A big river makes this wiggly side, the Colorado.
Step 6: More river
Carry on from the bend. Slant up to the left, then wiggle a line up. Stop below the top.
Step 7: Close the map
Carry on from there. Curve right over a small hump, then draw straight up. Join your top line.
Step 8: The capital star
Below the middle, a little to the left, draw a star for the capital city, Phoenix.
Tip On a map, a star shows the capital city.
Step 9: Two mountains
Draw 2 triangle mountains: a big one above the star, a smaller one near the right side.
Tip On a map, little triangles show where the mountains are.
Step 10: Yellow land
Go over your lines. Colour all the land yellow, around the star and the 2 mountains.
Tip Yellow is for the sunny desert.
Step 11: Brown and red
Colour the 2 mountains brown and the star red. Your map of Arizona is done!

Your finished drawing
