How to Draw Watusi Cattle
Draw Watusi cattle in 12 steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top left of your paper draw a big round head, a little wider than tall.
Tip A big head is what makes it cute. Leave room on the right.
Step 2: Eyes and muzzle
Draw 2 big eyes in the middle. Along the chin draw a wide muzzle with 2 nostrils and a smile.
Tip Nothing should touch the eyes.
Step 3: Horns and ears
On the top corners draw 2 huge horns sweeping out and up like a moon. Add 2 leaf ears.
Step 4: The neck
From the side of the head draw the neck down to the shoulder. From the chin draw the chest down.
Tip Stop both lines where the body will join them.
Step 5: The body
Start at the end of the neck. Draw a big bean body round the back and tummy to the chest.
Tip A bean, not a loaf: the bottom is rounder and higher than the chest.
Step 6: 2 legs
Draw a ground line low down. From the chest and the tummy draw legs down to hooves on it.
Tip A hoof is a little doorstop, flat on the ground.
Step 7: The far legs
Draw 2 thinner legs peeking out, one behind the front leg and one in front of the back leg.
Step 8: The tail
Start at the top of the bottom. Draw a thin tail hanging down, ending in a leaf-shaped tuft.
Step 9: Patches
Draw 3 big soft patches on the body like islands: on the shoulder, the rump and the tummy.
Tip Keep the patches big and simple.
Step 10: Cream and peach
Colour the muzzle and the 3 patches cream, and the ear insides peach.
Step 11: Grey hooves
Colour the 4 hooves grey.
Step 12: Brown cow
Colour the rest of the cow brown, around the cream and peach. Leave the eyes white. Your watusi is done!
