How to Draw a Tiger Walking
Draw a tiger walking in 13 steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big soft head.
Step 1: Big soft head
Near the top left draw a big soft head, wider than tall, with round cheeks and a flat top.
Step 2: Eyes
In the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes. Give each a black dot and a shine.
Step 3: Snout and smile
Draw a wide snout below the eyes with a black nose. Start at the nose, end in a w smile.
Step 4: Round ears
On each top corner of the head draw a round ear like a cookie, with a smaller curve inside.
Step 5: Fluffy cheeks
On each side of the head, start at the ear and draw 3 soft fur bumps, stopping at the jaw.
Step 6: Neck and body
Start behind the head. Draw the neck into a bean body, round the bottom and tummy. Stop at the cheek.
Step 7: Front and back legs
Draw a ground line. Draw a front leg under the chest and a back leg under the bottom.
Tip Each round paw sits flat on the ground, with 2 toe lines.
Step 8: Other two legs
Behind the front leg draw the other front leg peeking out. Do the same in front of the back leg.
Tip Only a thin strip and a paw show.
Step 9: The tail
Start on the back. Draw a long tail that gets thinner and curls at the tip. Stop on the bottom.
Step 10: Stripes
Draw 5 black stripes down from the back, 2 on the back leg, and 3 short ones on the forehead.
Tip Each stripe starts on the outline and narrows to a point.
Step 11: Tail rings
Draw 3 black rings across the tail with gaps between them, and a black tip.
Step 12: Cream and peach
Colour the snout and the cheek fluff cream, and the inside of each ear peach.
Step 13: Colour it orange
Colour the tiger orange, around the stripes, rings, cream and peach parts. Leave the eyes white.
